Success Stories!My name is Sara Dickson and I am fifty years old. I started gaining weight a few years after the birth of my last child, around 1997. I began to have medical problems. I had had about three c-sections, back surgery, surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome on my left wrist and had just been told I had a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder and needed surgery. I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which my doctor prescribed medication for.I was at my lowest. I had continuously prayed for help and the strength it would take to overcome my weight issues. I was using food as a comfort and was caught up in a vicious circle.

I tried everything from the Dr. Atkins diet, South Beach diet, to a program on the Internet that offered support and the gym, but for me none of these things worked. I would look in the mirror and wonder who this woman was looking back at me. I was so depressed and on the verge of giving up and deciding that I woud never be able to lose the weight I had allowed myself to gain over the years.

Then in May of 2007 while I was at work a fax came across my desk. It was VRT Fitness Boot Camp. I do not know why, but I knew it was exactly what I needed. I knew it was going to take a huge commitment on my part to get my life back. I called VRT and went in to meet with a trainer and ended up signing up for five days a week for not just one six weeks session, but two.Their trainer told me that 60% of the effort would be what I did outside the class. He told me what my calorie intake would be and gave me a food journal to keep a daily account in. I have been attending the 5:30 am class for ten weeks now and am a totally different person.

It has been the biggest challenge physically and mentally I've ever done, however the results have been phenomenal! I have lost 38 inches and 20 lbs. I am two, almost three sizes smaller! However it isn't even the best part of it, my doctor took me off of my high blood pressure medicine and high cholesterol medicine! He was very impressed with my progress.

I am so thankful to VRT for offering this program. It has turned my life around. I have never been a morning person but I look forward to getting up and going to boot camp every morning. I have not missed a single day. I am addicted to sweating now. I record every single thing I eat daily and have watched the inches and pounds come off. I told myself if I was going to do this I was going to give it my all so that whatever the end results were I'd know I gave it my best. I cannot speak highly enough of VRT Fitness and what they have done for me. Thank you VRT and staff from the bottom of my (healthy) heart!
